Au examination of the diatribu
lion of Democratic patronage in
<lit- ►iui.- ot Oklahoma rweala iuidc
i ii I fresh lie facts. It shows that
th« First eiiuRnrssioiial district,
tin* only oac m tin* state which
went Kepahlioan In-1 >car, leads
ill tin* number of elective and n|»
tmintive otli *es under Utc preseut
uilmiuiat ration. The Second dis-
trict. which gave the smallest
Democtafic majority, comes next.
Hud the Third district. Governor
Haskell’s dome, has the smallest
amount of patrouuge of all. This
iiafict, however, his one United
states senator and the governor.
Speaker Murray in the legisla-
ture has submitted a complete ite
iniitcd report of tic-* expenses of
(inducting the consp.tutioual con
vent ion exclusive of the const it u
tioual delegate election. It totalled
$80,153.28 of which 431,91)1 rrpre-
seats per diea and mileage of mera
hers and $45,343.14 clerk hire and
can vent ion printing. Murray inti-
mated that some of the persons
who were collecting voluutarv cou
tributious for the payment of
transcribing the constitution had
not turned the inonev over to him
and threatened to expose them
The Palace Progress contained a
long article last week boomiug
Dick T. Morgan of Woodward
for the republican candidate for
coi'gtess in this district. The re
cent Woodward county republican
convention passed a resolution en
dorsiug Mr. Morgan for the place
mid Uuele Dick has had manv
bouquets thrown at him from oth-
er directions, hut as vet lie has
not declared hituself tu the “bands
of Ins friends.” But if Dick gets
ito I lie race, the man that heats
Inin will have to go some and lit
tigged ill l"i 'lie contest in tin
most improved method.
Reciprocal Demurrage.
The new M'heduiw on coal and
grain contained iu a r*c**nt order
of the corporation commission has
gone into effect. 1 !»*■ reciprocal
demurrage also becomes a law.
The importance ot the new regime
can be appreciated otilv bv tug
dealers and farmers. To these It
will inann the saving of hundreds
of thousands of dollars. The re-
ductiou on coal is about 3d Per
oeut. Hearings on the ord r have
been beard and the railroads have!
exhausted their recourses in pro- '
testing against the alleged cou-
Hcatorv” rates. The corporation
commission uefer changed its orig-
inal ruling however.
t’lider the reciprocal demurrage
the shipper can have cars in bus\
as well as dull season. 1 lie railroad
company must supply this demaud1
promply for rolliug stock, or he
subject to a heuvy penalty. The
shipper is required to promply fill
the cur after ordering it. The load*
ed car must he move at least IDO
miles a dav tdwnrd its destination.
What this innovation menus to the
dealer in perashnble goods cm he
easily imagined
The new epoch will he of im-
measurable betielit to the grower,
lusteud of losing thousands of
dollars through inability to secure
•jnrs he will be assured of prompt
attention. The coul consumer will j
get his fuel at reduced prices next I
winter, by which time it is fair to
presume that one of the billa now
tending in the two houses holding
ruilrouds responsible for coal lost
in transit, will have become a
law.
Test Its Value.
Simmons Fiver Purifier is the
most valuable remedy I ever trie I
tor Constipation and Disordered*
Fiver, li does its work thoroughly,
tint lues not gripe like most rem-
edies of its character. I certainly
recommend it wheuevei the upper
tuuitv occurs.

Uovernor On Primary Law.
In res,muse to inquiries, Uov-
enor Haskell has giveu out the
following statement in regard to
the operation of the primary law
at the coining state election:
“Mv answer is that uuder sec-
tion 5, Hrtiele 3, of the eonstitu
lion, all pariv candidates for dis-
trict, state, countv and .nunseipal
oflices must be nominated bv prim-
ary election system. This includes
congressmen and senelnrs also,
and 1 stale further that the state
election hoard would certainly
place no pat tv candidate’s name
upon the ticket, who inis not beeu
nominated by direct primary elec-
tion, The people adopted that plan
in the constitution, und are entitl-
ed to have it carried into effect,
aud there will he no exceptions to
the rule.”

The Ills peculiar to women, take different forms.
Seme ladies suffer, every month, from dark rings round their eyes, blotches on their skin and tired
feeling. Others suffer agonies of pain, that words can hardly express. ,
Whatever the symptoms, remember there Is one medicine that will go beyond mere symptoms, and
act on the cause of their troubles, the weakened womanly organs.
Wine ot Cardui
Mrs. M. C. Austin, of Memphis, Tenn., writes: “For five (5) years I suffered with every symptom
of female disease, but after using the well-known Cardui Home Treatment, I was entirely well.
