COCMTBY, Grbetixg
We, the uuder*igu«d commit-
tee, composed of (Id veteran*, join
in an earnest and respectful ap-
peal to the citizens and farm-
ers surrounding Altus. The
people of Altu* have already re-
sponded with cash sufficient to
pay all expenses of the reunion
to be held September 9 and 10.
The committee ha* not called
on the farmer*, knowing money
was scarce at this season of the
year, and believing that they and
their Rood wives can be** sub-
serve the publie interests-by con-
tributing well filled l>askets of
provisions. If you will do thi*,
the success of the reunion is as-
sured; if you fail humiliation
and defeat will tie the result.
Our town and country will speak
for themselves. Can we as citi-
zen* of thi* beautiful aud grow-
ing country afford to fail? We
must soewed.
Bring a well filled basket each
day. Let each basket be duly
labeled with the owner's name,
that its contents may be listed
and the owner receive commend-
able mention in the home papers.
