Several stockholders of the
Farmers Co-Operative Associa-
tion came in Tuesday for a meet-
ing. but on account of a meet-
ing of stockholders in another
association Monday which inclu-
ded manyof the same men there
was not a quoiuti present.
Among these who attended were

and S. A. Clonts of Carmel. J. M

Stephens were in Altos Tues-
day.

brother killed. From Knoxville
they went to Murfreesboro,
Tenn., where one of the blood-
iest battles of the entire con-
flict was fought. After this
battle thev moved back to Chat-
tanooga. Mr. Franklin was in
the trip from Chattanooga to
Atlanta, Ga. All the old bovs
who were in that campaign
know what this veteran under-
went.
Mr. Franklin made the trip
from Atlanta to Franklin. Tenn
where Gen. Hood was defeated
by Gen. Thomas in 1864. From
there he went back into Georgia
and into North Carolina. Some
time in June, 1S65. he was
mustered out of service, and
went home. In the fall of 1866 f
; he went to East Texas.

Rev. H. F. Cole of Loonejr was

Mrs. G. M. Harbison visited
the family of H. A. Fowlkesand
other relatives at Vernon, Texas,

son will spend several days here
with relatives and friends be-
fore returning to her home at
Norman.
Mrs. E. F. Kennedy is attend-
ing the Rebekah grand lodge
and J. H. Smitn the grand lodge
of Odd Fellows at Oklahoma
City this week.
Lee Rosser of Vernon, Texas,
was here Saturday on business.
