In great schools and libraries and in the hi.torical archive, of County and State this book will stand as an imperishable monument—giving
the records of every man who represented Jackson County in the Great War.
Are the men and women that you know who should be in this Honor Roll really represented by pictures and data? If not, see that every
fighter or home worker that you know has a picture and service record here for this Book.
Supposing-in 1965—ti at granddaughter said, "But grandma, didn't my grandpa fight in that war ?" Supposing grandma had to nod
her head and say. "Yes. dear, he did. But he was away across the ocean when this beautiful book was made. Somehow they left him out.
It isn't right or just that any of our splendid my. and women should have to be humiliated or their children disappointed because their
pictures were not published in the Honor Roll of Jackson County. You can at last see that no one of your relatives or fr.ends omitted.
There is no charge or obligation incurred in having biographies or picture, printed in this volume. It is the official record of Jackson
County's part in the war. There is a place for every fighter and worker.
The volume entitled ' The Honor Roll of Jackson County" is a beautiful book in rich "Kowhide" binding. The cover is embossed with a
raised figure of Liberty enlightening the world. The headings and title page, are printed in five colors-beautiful painting, of War sub.ects
by a prominent arti.t who ha, caught exactly the dignity and grandeur of thi, work. The background, for fighter, picture, and for home
workers' pictures are emblematical of the service each was engaged in.
The whole ,pirit of thi, wonderful volume i, one of reverence and appreciation for the gloriou, manhood and womanhood who,e deed, and
likenesses are thus preserved and handed down to posterity.
Lt nothing deter you from doing your part. Send the picture* and records of vour sons, or brothers, or friends. See that their sacrifices
are commemorated and honored.
The forms of the Jackson County Hopor Roll will be clo.ing ver, ,oon. Haste is the watchword now and immediate action is necssary.
Only one edition of limited extent will be published.
