Good
Yoost
To make good bread, you
must have good yeast. It'
the first requisite. You
never saw a sweet, well-
raised loaf without .it.
Every loaf made with Yeast
Foam is sweet and well-
raised, good to look at and
better to taste.
The root of indigestion is
sour, heavy bread which
forms acid in the stomach.
The cure is light, digest-
ible bread raised with
L-AND- J M RK •>
Bread made with this
wholesome, vegetable yeast
retains its moisture, fresh-
ness and wlieaty flavor
until the last of the batch
is gone.
The reason is simple:
Yeast Foam leavens per-
fectly, expanding and burst-
ing the starch cells and
permeating every particle
of dough.
The secret is in the yeast

stopped by the conductor, who said:
"Your fare, please."
"I paid my fare."
"When? I don't remember It."
"Why, I paid you when I got on the
car."
"Where did you get on the car?"

Of the countless good stories attri-
buted to Artemus Ward, the best one,
perhaps Is one which tells of the ad-
vice which he gave to a Southern rail-
road conductor soon after the wayt
The railroad was In a wretched condi-
tion, and the trains were consequent-
ly run at a phenominally low rate of
speed. When the conductor was
punching his ticket, Arthemus re-
marked :
"Does the railroad company allow
passengers to give It advice, if they
do so In a respectful manner?"
The conductor replied In groff tones
that he guessed so.
"Well," Artemus went on, "It oc-
curs to me tha It would be well to de-
tach the cowcatchers |rom< the front
of the engine and hitch it on behind
the train, for you see we are not lia-
ble to overtake a cow, but what's to
prevent a cow from strolling Into this
car and biting a passenger?"
