W. A. Bailey, aged 83 yeary,
i '. d at the home of his daughter,
Mr.-. A. W. Acres, Sunday morn-
lng after a short illness.- Deceas-
ed was a veteran of-the civil war,
he having served throughout
that struggle in the armies of
the Confederacy. He had made
his home with his daughter here
for some years. Death v. as due
to a stroke of apoplexy, ■ sus-
tained about a week before his
death. The remains were taken
to Retrop Monday for interment,
at which place Mr. Bailey for-
merly lived.
