An idea of the popularity of
Dodge Brothers Motor Car may
be gained from the fact that
within three years after the first
car was turned out the aggregate
sales had exceeded $175,000,000.
This is a record without pre-v
cedent in the motor car industry.
It is regarded as a striking testi-
monial to the high regard in
which the name "Dodge Blath-
ers" was held by the public even
before they marketed a motor
car bearing this name. Prior to
that time Dodge Brothers had
built the vital parts for more
than a half million other cars,
establishing a reputation fot
thoroughness and mechanical
skilL
This reputation has been more
than upheld. It is said of Dodge
Brothers in explanation of their
unusual success, that they spare
no money or effort in building a
car to suit their particular ideas
of thoroughness in manufacture.
What their ideas on this subject
mean to the purchaser of their
product may be imagined from
the fact that they have a staff of
more than 750 inspectors who do
nothing but check up on work-
manship in the various processes
of manufacture. In addition
there are several large depart-
ments devoted entirely to similar
work, such as the physical and
chemical laboratories where raw
and finished materials are sub-
jected to testa so thorough as to
leave no doubt of the quality.
It is significant that the first
Dodge Brothers Motor Car ever
built was made up exactly as a
ear is made in the regular line of
production. Ordinarily the "ex-
perimental job." as the first car
is known, is built of eaatings be-
cause of the great time and ex-
pense involved in preparing dies
for forgings. Dodge Brothers,
however, decided that their ex-
perimenta} ear should be like the
car they expected to build, in '

Chickasha, Oklahoma is co-oper-
ating with the State Free Em-
ployment Service, and is under
the control of "the United States
Government. In this state there
is a central clearing house for the
service that looks after the sev-
eral offices operating in Okla-
homa. The State is districted
into twelve districts, designed
largely from the industrial and
agricultural conditions of the
country. Each state organiza
tion in addition to the offices un-
der its control will have an or-
ganization similar to the one we
are perfecting here. Each office
in the state transmits daily to the
clearing house, which is located
at Oklahoma City, detailed re-
ports, showing actual conditions.
Under this system, it is possible,
that if in your locality there is a
great shortage, or a surplus, of
labor that within forty-eight
hours this information can be in
the hands of every office in Okla-
homa. It is a wonderful work'
ing machine, one that is being
perfected each day so that it will
better serve its purpose. All we
need to make the undertaking a
great success is the co-operation
of both employer and employee
with the local representative.
Past experiences in handling
the farm labor situation in Okla-
homa have proven that the ques-
tions of shortage or surplus have
been largely a matter of distribu
tion. For the purpose of equally
distributing the labor supply the
organization outlined above has
been perfected.
