A SWEET TELE-
PHONE MESSAGE
-*•
Our neighbor, Mr. Cowan, got
a sweet telephone message last
Monday- He wasn't flirting ei-
ther, for he was hone with his
wife, but it was honey, honey,
just the same, the real kind the
bees make. It was from Mr. El-
lison, at Mr. Cowan's old home
place in the country, who said,
"I prized the wall off the house
this morning and robbed the
bees, got 100 pounds or more,
come down and I'll divide with
you." Well, you ought to have
seen our neighbor and his wife
Iustling around getting away,
>d came back that afternoon
vith over 50 pounds of the finest
flavored honey. The reason we
:now about the flavor of it is be
cause Mr. Ellison was kind
enough to send us a bucket full,
for which, please accept our
thanks, Mr. Ellison.
We learned from Mr. Cowan,
that two or three summers ago a
stray swarm of bees settled on
his building and went in a knot-
hole in the wall.
