Nevai Fall Society Program.
The Never Pail Society mat last
Friday afternoon and rendered a
program and had a pleasant time.
The debate resulted in the negative
winning. There will be no program
Friday owing to there being no
school. We had as visitors, Mra.
Fouch and Mrs. Clark, Misses Sam-
ples and Jeter. We are glad to
have visitors.

The little daughter of D. F. Hall
has been on the sick list for th e past
several days.
In a recent letter to his father, the
son of Mr. Will Taylor, who resides
60miles south of here, says that the
cotton crop was fine and that he
picked 456 pounds of cotton on
Tuesday of last week.
Mr. Stephenson has been sowing
wheat this past week.
Cook and Heasley have lots of cot-
ton in tneir field and are in need of
cotton pickers.
Will Taylor is going to move to
the farm he has rented near Willow.
J. R. Wood has got the Arkansas
fever but the neighbors think that
he will get over it soon, especially if
he will take a little Raymond's Liv-
er Regulator.
A large number of the young peo-
le attended the party at the home of
Mr. John Dunham Saturday night.
Hamilton Lefevers is now working
in a grocery store at South Mc-
Allister.
Mr. Laper and family are making
preparations togo to Arkansas.
Quite a number of children have
not entered school yet owing to hav-
ing to stay at home and help pick

The school was certainly fortunate
in securing "Grand-pa" Steel to
drive one of the wagons. He is an
affable and good natured driver and
is always on time.
Rev. C. W. Craig preached two ex-
cellent sermons to large congrega-
tions Sunday.

Attending Institute.
There will be no school tomorrow
as the teachers will gc to Mangum
to be in attendance at the Southweat
Teachers' association which is in
passion there today, tomorrow and
peetday. It is expected that this
PMoeiation will be attended by from
600 to 1000 teacher*.
Part of Faraltura Loat.
The board of the Brinkman Con-
solidated School is having trouble in
locating a part of the furniture for
the new building which was shipped
from the factory at Chicago several
weeks ago. A car. in which the
furniture for the building here and
Carter, was received at Carter a few
days ago. but it did not have only a
part of the furniture for this place.
A. B. Lam pert went to Carter Sat-
urday to see if he coo id get any
f of the furniture but failed.
More Snow.
Last Monday morning the inhabi-
tants awoke to find a blizzard rag-
ing outside. Shortly after daylight
it began snowing and continued to
do so until noon, but owing to the
high wind it blew away as fast as
it bit the ground^
Had A Nice Time.
On last Saturday night Mr. and
Mrs. J L. Dunham, residing two
1 miles eaat of town, threw open the
doors of their hoapitable home to
the pleasure and enjoyment of the
young people of Brinkman and vi-
cinity.
A larje number were in attend-
ance and a moat enjoyabie even ng
spent in playing snap and other
games. Some excellent musics
selections were rendered by some of
the ladjr gueau.
Appetizing refresh men ta were
aerved. and very late, after thanking
tne boat and ho*teas fur the pieaaaat
