labor and material used , to which will be added
the clerk's costs and costs of publication, will be
issued and shall be a special assessment against
said lot.
The cost of building said walk will be 8>!0 If of
cement; *41.20 if of brick; and 811.25 if of pine
lumber.
The width of the walk, the manner of the con-
struction and the material of which It Is to te
made are regulated by ordinance. You haye
your choice of materials designated and may
build it yourself or have it done within ten (10)
days from date of this notcei is served; but the
ordinance further provides for a penalty of
twenty-five (25) per cent, under ctrtaln condi-
tions, to be added to the warrant, male a part of
the oiigtnat assessment and collected as a part
thereof, should you fall to attend to the matter.
It is not desired to put you to any unnecessary
cost or trouble, but the walk must be construct-
ed according to the terms of the ordinance. 1
therefore trust you will promptly have the walk
built and save the city any further proceedings
and yourself the costs and penalty.
