If there is anything wrong with the
school it seems the school system
system should find it out without
hiring another corps of teachers or
more lecturers They at least on
this point should be their own
doctors The teacher should at least
be willing to do part of his own
building
Life is made so that we must be
our own builders by it we learn by
it the teacher will learn Salaries
are increased or lowered by this
method Just the same as by the
school board
A Negro was a wailer on brick
masons Finally he wanted to build
a chimney He lost the job of course
It was not considered proper nor
right to let a colored maw learn a
trade He had beeti disappointed
too much in life to grieve or fret
After many years a great smelter
!n a peck of trouble gave him the
job of building a high chimney
These smelter chimneys are 25 f
feet high The Negro went to work
and he astounded his co-workers and
employees at the chimney he built
It was a masterpiece of work and a
model that attracted brick masons
for miles to observe and learn from
it When asked how he did it the
Negro he just dreamed it
Did you ever notice the difference
between good and bad brick work?
We must work till we dream our
work The school teacher should
dream her work Then there will be
but little kicking in school from the
pupils or taxpayers
The school teacher will getm arried
and God intended she should but we
think some would spoil everything
else to get married Wle should first
learn something before getting mar-
ried Matny girls feel when they
get married they have graduated
it is only commencement day The1
achool teacher has many trials and
tribulations to bear before ahe is
ready to help others over trials and
trouble The young man should learn
what debts mortgages and work to
before he builds a home for himself
or others How- can he handle them
for others till he learns them for
himself?

did Ruby Strong learn this The
profless or will say “in school” But
if we arc rightfully informed we
may add he kerned it as Del Sarte
and - Mozart did their music or as
-Shakespeare did his genius to write
Del Sarte was a waif in the street
of Paris France Are old music

notes in the sand This old music
tacher Happened to know something
and willing to learn more he stopped
and asked the waif who taught him
that
“Nobody taught me says Del
Sarte “I just Kfrncd it myself”
The old-fashioned music teacehr
took him home to study and live with
him at a good home He did net
make him eat with the scullions as
the priest ttd Mozart In a flew -months
Del Sarte became (he teach-
er and Binby the pupil
' Now I want to add Biriby was not
above being the pupil But in two
years he died and toft the waif with-
out a toome ' t
Shakespeare could write some and
say things a thousand time better
than our wise politician He said
