Idrew his brother casting a net
into the sea: for they were
I fishers Jesus called out unto
'them "come ye after me and
!I will make you fishers of men"
They immediately left their
'business and followed Him
ISoon He saw James and
John who were mending their
nets He called them and they
immediately left their father
and followed the Lord These
men were called to leave their
business home and friends in
order to follow Jesus
As we study the four Gos-
pels we will note that Mark is
giving again the call of the di-
sciples Probably they had been
with Christ on most of his early
ministry This was a call to
break every business connection
and go all-out for the Messiah
III Jesus Calls Disciples to-
day Questions come to us today
"does God call disciples today?"
We might say without a doubt
that every person who is called
unto salvation is called to be a
follower of Jesus We need to
respond to the guidance of the
Holy Spirit in daily living and
try to win men unto eternal
life We need to obey the words
of the Saviour regardless of our
own desires and follow Him
from Victory unto Victory
Conclusion: May the Gospel
of Jesus Christ which calls men
from every rank of life compel
command and urge us to be
fishers of men daily Many of
us say we cannot win men to
Christ but listen to what Jesus
would say "Come follow me
and I will make you to become
fishers of men" This is a
promise from God The reason
men are not winning souls unto
Christ is that they are not fol-
lowing Jesus May the Lord
help each of us keep our eyes
upon the Lord
