Disaster Assistance for
2020 Livestock F orage
Losses
Producers in Garfield C ounty are eligible to apply for 2020 Livestock Forage Di-
saster Program (LFP) benefits on native and improved pastures for 2020.
LFP provides compensation if you suffer grazing losses for covered livestock due
to drought on privately owned or cash leased land or fire on federally managed land.
County committees can only accept LFP applications after notification is received
by the National Office of qualifying drought or if a federal agency prohibits pro-
ducers from grazing normal permitted livestock on federally managed lands due to
qualifying fire. You must complete a CCC-853 and the required supporting docu-
mentation no later than January 31, 2021, for 2020 losses.
For additional information about LFP, including eligible livestock and fire criteria,
contact the Garfield County USDA Service Center at 580-237-4321 or visit fsa.usda.

ports by phone, email, online tools and v irtual meetings as well as by appointment
in person.
Ihe Garfield County FSA office is using Microsoft Teams software to virtually
meet with producers to review maps and documents for certification. Producers who
want to schedule a virtual appointment can download the Microsoft Teams app on
their smart phone or tablet and call the FSA office for an appointment. You can also
use Microsoft Teams from your personal computer without downloading software.
