Fatal Food
This near 6-foot egg eating reptile made a fatal mistake last
Friday when he made a meal of some guinea eggs which Mrs
Russell i Fanny > Gipson, three miles south of Elgin, Kans , had
under a sitting hen The snake (observers called it everything
from blacksnake, bullsnake and coach whip snake to a mixture
of these) slipped through a narrow slit in the side of the box, ate
several eggs and then found he couldn't get all of himself back
through the entrance Mrs Gipson pinned him to the floor with a
pitch fork and brought him to town for the picture taking, still
witp part of his body caught in the slot because the last egg he
ate would neither break nor pass through The Gipsons, who
live on the old Bruce Hendricks farm in Osage Coundy, killed a
mate to this snake the previous night and it had eaten a large
meal of (about five) duck eggs. (J-C Photo).

MH Services changed to
Osage Guidance Center
The Osage County Mental Health Services, Inc., has recently
changed the name of their center in Pawhuska to Osage
Guidance Center The office is located at 1801 Lynn (Old City
Hospital). The name change was made because the program
was more comprehensive than the former title indicated
The center will still be incorporated as Osage County Mental
Health Services, Inc . and only the name of the center in
Pawhuska will be changed
Therefore because of the wide range of services, the name of
Osage Guidance Center seemed more appropriate
