Casket bearers have been listed for the funeral of Ronnie
C urtis, 68, of Lucien, OK. Funeral services were
Monday, Oct. 18, 2004 at the Lucien United Methodist
Church.
Bearers were Wayne Casteel, Lawrence Mack, Vernon
Sattler, John Mack, John Inselman, Don Marquardt and
Rick Milliron.
Clara Shelton bearers listed
Casket bearers have been listed for the funeral of Clara
Darmer Shelton, 98, long-time resident of Perry, OK.
Funeral services were Friday, Oct. 15, 2004 at the First
Baptist Church in Perry. Interment was in Grace Hill
Cemetery at Perry.
Bearers were Bill Sweger, Boyd Sweger, Pete Sweger,
Terry Swart, Shelby Shelton and Jeff Shelton.
Ribbon cutting set for Senior C’s
The Perry Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a
ribbon cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, at
an Senior C’s, located at Sixth Street and Fir Avenue.
Senior C’s will be introducing their new pizza buffet
and free pizza will be served.
Morrison Music Fun Night October 28
The monthly Morrison Music Fun Night has been
rescheduled. The event will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct.
28. It was originally scheduled for October 21.
The public is invited to come and participate.
Republican women to hear Sanders
Mark Sanders, Noble County Commissioner District 1,
will be guest speaker at a meeting of the Noble County
Republican Women.
The session will be held at noon Monday, Oct. 25, at
the Republican Headquarters on the east side of the square.
The building formerly housed Mel’s Clothing.
Sanders will outline duties of the County Commission-
ers and discuss the situation with the current jail
facilities. The meeting will be open to anyone interested.
Community meetings on jail announced
A community meeting concerning the proposed new
Noble County Jail is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Thursday,
in the women’s building at the Noble County Fairgrounds
to accommodate those who may have been unable to at-
| tend the session held Tuesday evening.
The public is urged to come hear the facts, become
informed, and ask any questions they may have
concerning the issues which will be voted on at the Nov.
2 election.
Mulhall Community pancake supper Oct. 23
An all-you-can-eat pancake supper will be held from 5
to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, at the Mulhall Fair building.
The event is being sponsored by the Mulhall Community
| Club.
Advance tickets are S4 for adults and S3 for children
and ages five and under are free. Tickets at the door will
be S5. For more information, call Kermit Redman, 405-

Perry Fire Department activity
Summary of activity for the 24 hours ending at 8 a.m.
Wednesday: At 12:48 a.m. Wednesday, the fire truck was
dispatched to the Charles Machine Works burn pit, how-
ever it proved to be a false alarm.
Perry Police Department activity
Activity for the 24 hours ending at 8 a.m. Wednesday:
7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. shift: A burglary investigation
was conducted at 7:50 a.m. Tuesday at Taco Mayo on
west Fir Avenue; a disturbance call was received, then
disconnect...suspects gone on arrival, all secure.
3:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. shift: An officer was requested
to standby to keep the peace; officer requested to do a
welfare check on local woman; received an abandoned
911 call from a residence...all checked okay; gas drive-
off reported in reference to a man w ho submitted a check
and when informed they use electronic checking, he ran
out the door and left; resident asked that a skunk in a
trap be removed; individual called and said a woman
driving a red/maroon car had given her a note asking
her to call the police because the woman in her backseat
was wanted...the vehicle left going south on I-35, drive
advised she would drive slowly...Pawnee OHP advised;
resident secured; officer requested to escort woman to
truck as work place.
11:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. shift: Gas drive off...driver re-
turned to pay for gas while officer taking report; report of
black dog hit by a car...picked up by animal control
officer; report of a control burn.
Noble County Sheriff activity
Summary of the Noble County Sheriff’s department
for the 24 hours ending at 8 a.m. Wednesday:
6 a.m. to 6 p.m. shift: Responded to a domestic at
10000 mile of Old John Deere...Deputy Jeffrey Lynch
arrested Jesse Bright, Perry, on charges of domestic
abuse. Undersheriff Brian Thomas served two papers.
6 p.m.. to 6 a.m. shift: No calls for service.

Annual Schultz family reunion held in Lucien
Descendants of Peter and Katherine-pan
Schultz, who reared their family in the
Billings area, held their annual
reunion Sept. 19, 2004 at the Lucien
Community building.
A catered luncheon was served and
a family auction was held. The
remainder of the day was spent
visiting.
The event was hosted by Clyde and
Donna Beckner.
Only three of the children are
living: Ruby Rutherford, Perry, Mable
Parker, Enid, and Pete Schultz, who
lives on the home place south of
Billings.

of twin boys born Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2004, at Integris Bass
Baptist Health Center in Enid, OK
The first infant, born at 11:03 a.m., weighed 5 pounds,
15.2 ounces and measured 19 1/2 inches in length. He has
been named Mason Rylee. The second baby was born at 11:04
a.m., weighed 4 pounds, 13.2 ounces and measured 17-inches
in length. He has been named Austin Mitchell.
Mason and Austin have one brother, Jeff, 14, and one sis-
ter, Marissa, 8.
Maternal grandparents are Royce and Mary Geihsler,
Fainnont, OK. Wanda Pester, Fairview, OK, is maternal great
grandmother.
Samantha Jayde Taber
Jimmy and Janette Taber, Perry, are parents of a daughter
born at 12:57 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2004, at Via Christi
Regional Medical Center in Ponca City.
The infant weighed 7 pounds, I ounce and measured 18
1/2 inches in length. She has been named Samantha Jayde.
She has two sisters, Katelyn, 1 O-years-old, and Evelyn, 3.
Maternal grandparents are Wayne and Ruth Graham,
Crescent, formerly of Perry. Jim and Betty Taber, Perry, are
paternal grandparents.
