Perry women attend GFWC workshop
C-C ribbon cutting Tuesday
A new business ribbon cutting ceremony will be
hosted by the Perry Chamber of Commerce at 10
a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 3, at Country at Heart.
The business is located at 403 F ir Avenues and is
owned by Delcina Nix. Carolyn Briegge, executive
director of the C-C has invited the public to come
and help welcome this new business to the commu-
nity.
United Fund budget meeting Tuesday
T he United Fund budget meeting will be held at
6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug 3, at the First Presbyterian
Church.
United Fund chairpersons are asked to name their
workers at this meeting. The budget will be set for
the drive which w ill kick off Sept. 27,2004. All board
members are urged to attend, according to Marilee

Summary of activity ending at 8 a.m. Friday: At
9:40 a.m. Thursday, one individual was transferred
from Perry Memorial Hospital to Integris Baptist
Medical Center in Oklahoma City.
Perry Police Department activity
Summary of police log activity ending at X a.m.
Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. shift: Trap requested
for armadillos; alarm sounded at local business...all
checked okay; abandoned 911 call reported from
Payne County...no one home, bird w as reported stuck
in the set cat trap in yard...message left for animal
control officer to remove bird and reset trap; DHS
employed reported a vehicle accidentally locked w ith
a babv inside...dispatch contacted a serv ice agency
to unlock the door...officer also responded.
3:30 to 11:30 p.m shift officer requested by
woman who reported her husband throwing her

cess of divorce...informed a civil matter; anonymous
caller said someone she knew had been drinking and
was about to drive to Stillwater with a suspended
