The Small East team defeated
the Small West team, 38-12.
Local competitors were Bryan
Wilson, Perry, and Charlie
Franke, Covington-Douglas.
Wilson, a 215-pounder who
wrestled for the Small East team,
decisioned Small West's Casey
Lehew, Comanche, 1-0.
His win on Tuesday was a
repeat of his performance at the
state finals where he won an in-
dividual state title and the
Maroons took the team champi-
onship.
Franke, a 275-pounder who
wrestled for the Small West team,
lost a 5-2 match with 3A state
champion Wayne Heath,
McLoud.
Franke, who wrestled at 215
during the past season, led the
match until midway through the
third period, when Heath gained
a reversal and three near-fall
points on a single move.
