MANS LANDING ON THE MOON will be brought closer to
Oklahomans this fall when they see this large model of the
LEM, or Lunar Module, on exhibit at the State Fair of
Oklahoma, September 20-28, in Oklahoma City. It is part
of a large NASA exhibit on the Apollo moon mission, includ-
ing photos of the moon from orbit, and inside views of the
• Apollo capsule. The exhibit will be open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
daily during the State Fair.

Mrs. Loraine Roach, employee at
the Billings Nursing Home is a
surgical patient in the Bass-Mem-
orial Hospital, Enid.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Garner of
Piedmont, Kans., and Francis
Herde and Dale visited with A. L.
Herde in St. Mary's Hospital, Enid,
last Wednesday evening. While
here, they visited Mrs. A. L Herde,
Mrs. Marie Bryant and Pat and
Mr and Mrs. Francis Herde and
Dale. The Garners were enroute
to Houston, Texas, for further va-
cationing, visiting their son and
family. Dr. and Mrs. Harold Gar-
ner,
Mr. Werner Falke, former Bill-
ings resident, is a medical patient
in the Hertzler Hospital, Halstead,
Kans.
Last Wednesday evening dinner
guests of Mrs. Violet Hayton were
Miss Cathey Jo Culver and Miss
JoEllen Helmer, both of Pawhus-
ka; Miss Lindy Hayton and Miss
Sue Honeywell, Billings. Miss Cul-
ver and Miss Hayton are grand-
daughters of Mrs. Hayton. Misses
Culver and Helmer returned to
their homes in Pawhuska on Thurs-
day.
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Irwin of
Ponca City spent last Wednesday
afternoon in Billings, visiting with
Mrs. Neva Isaac.

Home News
In arts and crafts this week, the
girls made sack puppets. The boys
made tambourines out of aluminum
pie plates. The Red Rock group
assisted in the arts and crafts ses-
sion for all residents They made
bird houses, using tissue rolls and
construction paper.
Bus rides were taken this week
to Garber, Breckinridge, Tonkawa
and the surrounding countryside.
Rev. Larry Courtright conducted
Catholic services for all the resi-
dents Wednesday Rev. and Mrs.
Banther held church services. Bill
Combrink brought the services for
all residents on Sunday.
Thursday, some of the people
who work in arts and crafts at the
Enid State School came to visit in
the Nursing Home Those visiting
were Jamie Hardin, Donna Brooks,
Dottie Defoe, Debbie Miller, Le-
dora Oglesby, Joanne Pingleton,
Joyce Rackley and Jan Snyder.
They were accompanied by Mrs Al
Hardin and their supervisor,
Dewey Lawrence.
Phil Harrison is spending a few
days with his parents in Enid.
Jerrold Denton is at home with
his parents in Enid for a few days.
Jody Hunt was visited by his
parents and taken to Enid for the
day.
Dale Boatright and Danny Holt
are spending the weekend with
their families in Enid.
Celia Newland was visited this
week by her sister, Mrs. Jenkins,
of Newkirk.
Evelyn Ailey is spending a few
days at her parent’s home in Ton
kawa.
Joan Wright was visited by her
grandmother and aunt, both of
Ponca City.
