THREE GOLDEN ANNIVERSARIES - Mr. and Mrs. James
Heck, 1014 Fifteenth street, left, recently had a reunion with two
of his brothers and their wives, all who celebrated their 50th
wedding anniversaries this year. The James Hecks were
married Jan. 6, 1921; Dr. and Mrs. L. C. Heck, center, Sept. 4,
1921; and June 24,1921, was the wedding date for Mr. and Mrs. J.
Paul Heck. The Heck brothers all were reared in the Anthony,
Kan., area. James was manager of the A. C. Houston Lumber
company of Perry for many years; Doctor Heck was graduated
from Needles Optical school in Kansas City, Mo., and the couple
now resides in Salina, Kan.; and Mr and Mrs. J. Paul Heck
have operated stores in Anthony for the past 23 years

DENTAL CARE BILL
WASHINGTON (UPI) -A
$142 million three-year program
approved by the Senate would
improve dental care for child-
ren.
About $50 million of the total
is earmarked for pilot dental
care projects to aid disadvan-
taged children. Another $57
million would be used to train
dental auxiliaries and $56
million to train dentists and
dental students to utilize the
assistants. Another $9 million
would go to communities and
schools that want to fluridate
their water.

DENVER (UPI)—A burglary
suspect with his hands hand-
cuffed behind him escaped
from law officers Sunday and
drove off in a police cruiser.
Patrolman Paul Brachle said
the suspect apparently swung
his handcuffed hands under his
feet and then made his getaway
in the car. Brachle was
checking out the suspect’s truck
at the time.
Police found the squad car
eight blocks away. The suspect
was missing.

This is reportedly a photograph of the second grade in 1936 How-
ever, identifications have not been made and anyone knowing these
students is invited to mail or send them to the First National. We'll
publish them next week The teacher has been identified as Miss
Ruth Murray.
These were members of a
First Presbyterian church Sun-
day School class taught by Mrs
Farris Davis approximately 30
years ago. They are, left to
right, Stella Scaff. Hazel Mar
zahn, Sara Jane Savage, Joan
Kruse, Sandra Sherrod, Miss
Burke and Marcia Woodruff.
