Football Widow Finds
Solution to Problem
DETROIT UPI)—At least
one football wide w has come up
with a solution to the problem
of a mate glued to the
television set during the long
football weekends a good swift
kick in the seat
Tile solution probably isn't
recommended wever, since
her mate is Ji Jim, a hefty
gorilla at the Detroit Zoo who
is as dedicated television fan
as most husbands
And the "football widow" is
Mesou, more noted for her
temper than her eauty.
Two television monitors were
installed recently just outside
their caged qua ters and Jim-
Jim instantly be ame fascinat-
ed with the action-packed
football game Mesou acted
like a woman scorned.
She sneaked ip behind Jim-
Jim and delivered a quick kick
to the seat and en scampered
to an adjoining oom with her
mate in hot pursuit.
1 don’t know f she's getting
crabby or is a typical
housewife, frustrated with her
husband's telev sion viewing,
said Dr Robert F. Wilson, the
zoo director

"I'm not a number. I'm not a hole in a
punch card. Why should I get a recorded
message when I dial a number?"
We a l know that technology is making
our lives easier. But sometimes . . . do you
also get the feeling that people are losing
touch with people?
Now ask yourself a tough question:
"What am I doing to reduce this feeling of
'I don't care?‘ Do you care about other
people as much as you might? Not just old
people ... or lonely people ... or under-
privileged people. But all people.
Just as you don't want to be a number,
nobody else does either. The truth is:
people need people. That means you and
me, and all of us.
But "Love your neighbor as yourself" is
easier said than done.
That's the reason for our little booklet

called "How One Town Put Its Faith to
Work." It's free. Send for it. It tells what
people of goodwill can do—and did do in
one town—when they put their hearts-
and their backs—into it.
People need people. This booklet shows
how to turn words into deeds. All in all, a
postage stamp well-spent.
