End Year With Win at Pawnee
The Perry junior high school
football team, already I-35 con-
ference champions for 1967,
Tuesday night finished their
season undefeated by winning.
33-6, at Pawnee.
Junior high school students
returned to classes Wednesday-
morning in a joyful mood. A
victory pep rally already was in
the making for late Wednesday
morning.
Plans included a parade
around the square following a
rally in the junior high cafe-
teria Byard Anderson, school
principal, said the rapidly form-
ing arrangements called for the
junior high band, pep club and
football players to be in the
parade.
The victory rally was in
charge of the pep club, which
has Mrs. Judith Langston as
faculty sponsor. Anderson was
to introduce the football players
and brief talks were expected
from the coaches, Lee Cobb and
Terry Leonard.
In making a perfect unde-

junior high squad saw ac-

boys getting to play about
two quarters.
The game opened with Perry
kicking off. On the first run-
ning play, the ball was snapped
directly to the Pawnee tailback.
