Alvin & Genevive Johnson To
Celebrate 60th Wedding Anniversary
Alvin and Genevieve Johnson
will be celebrating their Dia-
mond (60th) wedding anniver-
sary on October 29. 2003.
Genevieve Sears and Alvin
Johnson were married Friday,
October 29, 1943 at Hunter
Christian Church. Rev. J. D
Harden performed the cere-
mony.
Following World War II, the
couple made their home north-
east of Breckinridge where they
lived until December, 1996.
They presently are at home at
Golden Oaks Retirement Center
in Enid.
Alvin and Genevieve have two
daughters; Genneane Rowley.
Beggs. OK and Earlene Kay
Poindexter, Port Richey, FL.
They have four grandchildren:
Amanda Britschgi, Fernley, NV,
Tammy Larkins, Port Richey,
FL, Jason Poindexter, Port

A Family Fall Festival will be held from 3:00-6:00 p.m. Saturday,
November 8, 2003 at the Garber Christian Church.
Sponsored by the Garber Christian Church and the Garber United
Methodist Church, the event is for children, parents and grandparents.
Those planning to attend are encouraged to come in costume. Prizes will
be awarded for the best outfitted family and other costume categories.
Other activities will include a Moon Walk, grease pig catching, pie
throwing with the minister’s face as the target, tossing pennies for
goldfish, a family tug of war, a treasure hunt, a dance contest and
bobbing for apples. Prizes will be awarded for many of the games.
There will be a 15-20 minute family movie during which popcorn will
be served and an area in which families can work on crafts together.
Food available at the festival will be chili, cotton candy, caramel apples
and homemade cookies and cake.

planning and conducting this family oriented event.
