was held in the school caf-
eteria September 30 after
school. 4-H members told
what they received at the
County Fair and State
Fair. We elected two can-
didates for the carnival
queen and princess con-
test

cess cndidate is Jodi Cin-
namon.
October 6-12 will be Na-
tional 4-H week. Here is a

Navy Seaman Recruit
Todd M. Hawley, son of
Michael E. and Gloria A.
Hawley of 1826 Breckin-
ridge Road, Enid, recently
completed training at Re-
cruit Training Command,
San Diego. During the
training cycle, recruits are
taught general military
subjects designed to pre-
pare them for further aca-
demic and on-the-job train-
ing: in one of the Navy’s
85 occuptional fields. Stu-
dies include seamanship,
close-order drill, naval his-
tory and first aid. He join-
ed the Navy in April 1991.
