On May 18 1933 the Park I1111 post
office will celebrate its 100th anni-
versary The first post office here was lo-
cated at the old Park Hill mission
The Rev Samuel Newton was its first
postmaster It is the sixth oldest
postoffice in what is now Okla-
homa The first post office was at Miller
courthouse established Sept 5 1824
the second at Cantonement Gibson
1827: the third at Nicksville 1828
fourth at Fort Towson 1832 and the
fifth at Fort Coffey in 1835
