BROILED FROSTING
Mt cup chopped blanched almonds
3 tablespoons butter
cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons evaporated milk
Spread almonds in shallow pan
and brown lightly in oven Melt
butter and stir in sugar milk
and almonds Spread on apple-
sauce cake and place under
broiler until mixture is bubbly
about 2 to 3 minutes

STATE OF OKLAHOMA COUNTY OF OKFUSKEE ss:
We the undersigned duly elected qualified and acting officeis of
the Board of Education of Independent School Dist No 29 of said
County and State do hereby certify that at a meeting of the Governing
Body of the said District begun at the time provided by law for dis-
tricts of this class and pursuant to the provisions of HB 1043 1953
the foregoing statement was prepared and is a true and correct con-
dition of the Financial Affairs of said Distrct as reflected by the re-
cords of the District Clerk and Treasurer We further certify that the
foregoing estimate for current expenses tor the fiscal year beginning
July 1 1959 and ending June 30 1960 as shown are reasonably neces-
sary for the proper conduct of the affairs of the said Municipality that
the Estimated Income to be derived from sources other than ad va-
lorem taxation does not exceed the lawfully authorized ratio of the
revenue derived from the same sources during the preceding fiscal
year except Transfer Fees receivable winch fees have been determin-
ed reasonably probable of collection at 100 of the sums appropriated
by the County Excise Board in the budgets of the districts from which
pupils were transferred

i Remove the butt from its protective casing and cut serving slices
34 of the way through the meat Insert the peach wedges garnish
with chopped ginger wrap it in aluminum foil Bake in moderate
oven (325 degrees F) for half-an-hour Then fold back the toll sol
the meat may brown and continue cooking for another half-hour

Fresh Strawberry Sour Cream Shortcake (Yield: 6 servings)
Two cups sifted all-purpose flour 3 teaspoons double-acting'
baking powder 34 teaspoon salt 34 cup sugar 3-ounce packagel
Cream cheese 2 tablespoons butter or margarine 1 egg beaten:1
about Vs cup milk 1 quart fresh strawberries 13 cup sugar 1 cup
sour cream 2 tablespoons sugar
I Sift together the first 4 ingredients Add cream cheese and butter
Pr margarine and tut it in with a pastry blender or 2 knives until'
the mixture r esembles coarse meal Pour beaten egg into a
measuring cup Add milk to snake 34 cup Gradually stir into the
tow mixture Knead dough about 20 seconds Pat half the dough
Into a greased round 8-inch layer cake pan Brush surface with
Melted butter or margarine Pat remaining half of dough over the
top Bake in a preheated very hot oven (450 degrees F) 20 min-
utes or until done Turn out on a cooling rack to cool When cold
split layers apart and place one on a large serving plate Wash hull
and slice strawberries Add sugar and let stand 10 minutes Spoon
between and over top of shortcake layers Top with sour cream
sweetened with the 2 tliblespoons sugar
