When the National Citizens
Conference op Community Plan-
ning opens in Oklahoma City on
March 27 delegates will be
treated not only to discussions
of crifical problems of commun-
ity operations and growth in both
urban and rural areas but to
displays of models demonstrating
the practical benefits of commun-
nity planning These exhibits will
include a massive mechanical
display 25 feet by 12 feet half
Ishowing unplanned streets and
highways which have "Just grow-
ed" the other half showing the
results of good planning as well
as a graphic display emphasizing
the need for comprehensive city
Planning which includes the
fringe area beyond city limits
These and other exhibits includ-
ing river bottom developments
rezoning In communities of all
sizes and a library on commun-
ity planning will occupy the en-
tire lounge of the Diltmore Hotel
where the conference is being
held
