Planning and Zoning Commission
of Del City Oklahoma will hold
a public hearing at City Hall
Del City Oklahoma at 7:30 PM
October 24th 1960 to consider
changing to Class "B" Limited
Retail Commercial District of the
following land located in Del
' City Oklahoma to-wit:
Part of the Southwest (SW'3)
Part of the Southwest Quarter
(SW14) of the Northwest Quart-
er (NW'4) of Section 17 T11N-
R2W more particularly describ-

The Fall Conference of the
American Legion Auxiliary held
in the Colonial Room of the
Huckins Hotel was attended by
several members of Unit 73
The meeting was held Sep-
tember 25
Attending were the Mrs Geo
Kedigh James Binyon Harold
Gilbert Jake Ebey C E Sher-
man George Meador Jess Money
John Chaffee and Rex Beach
The Conference was a work
shop for the year's program
Unit 73 is now engaged in a
membership campaign A goal of
200 members has been set

New officers took over their
posts ase the American Legion
Auxiliary of Post 73 met Tuesday
September 20 for their first busi-
ness meeting of their 1960-61
year
Presiding was Mrs Josephine
Kedigh new Auxiliary president
In her office as new secretary
was Mrs James Binyon
On the agenda of business was
the vote by the 14 members pre-
sent to buy a new hot water
heater for the lodge kitchen and
to organize a Junior Auxiliary
for children of Legion and Aux
members It was pointed out that
there are only two such junior
organizations in the state of Ok-
lahoma Members of the local Auxiliary

hpld at the Governor's mar-
ion October 6
President Kedigh is putting an
emphasis on the membership
drive now under way and has
the full support of vice president

Record Attendance
Some 98563 school children
and parents attended the state
fair Monday September 26 as
schools let out for Fair day
This was a record attendance
for the fair despite the cloudy
and rainy weather
All Del City school employees
and students had the day off to
attend They took full advantage
of it despite the weather and
Monday night found a weary but
happy group
Kerr PTA Will Have
Chicken Dinner
The Kerr PTA will have a
chicken dinner with all the trim-
mings for 75 cents Saturday Oct-
ober 22 from 5 to 9 pm
October 12 the regular execu-
tive meeting will be held in the
faculty room at Kerr Junior high
at 1:30 pm
Kerr PTA members will help
with the eye test to be given
October 1 2 and 3
The PTA now has a member-
ship of 700 and has 14 rooms
that have reached the rating of
