He and his family have enjoyed
the' opportunity of being associ-

Dundee community and will miss
them very -much wherevee4 they

Everett have enjoyed working with
such a cooperatite group of par-

guessed The auawerwill be in the
next issue of this paper Do you
know what could have been
out had this company been up to
full strength for the hut year?
Whatever the guess is it is prob
ably too low Had Tank Company
179 Inf been tip te WI Ch 111 -
reduced strength for the past year
the payroll would have ' been
85229488
Do you know that this N G it
yours as well as the people that
belong to the Co? That's right-- -
you pay the taxes that buy tha
equipment and pay the check
That makes it partly belong to
every taxpayer
Now if you own a farm or a
place of business you go check on
it every once in a while don't you?
N G is no different Wa welcome
you to come on down as individ-
uals or as groups There are say
eral reasons why you should come
to know your N G For instance
If there should be a disaster In
Healdton or any of the ourround-
ing towns who do you think
would be called on to polke the
territory to prevent lOoting?
After every disaster there are
people who are professional thieves
that follow looting stores homee
and stealing anything of value '
The duty of the N G at that time
is to prevent looting
Sure we are weekend warrior'
but who do you think has mots
time in combat than all regular
army divisions except one? If you
said the 45th Division' ou are
right
Did you know that unless the
personnel etrength is brought up
to a far greater level than at
present we will lose this valuable '
asset to our community? That is
right—unless there are some dras-
tic change' in the verrnear future
the town of Healdton will be with
oat a N G unit '
Do you have a ion or' know of
someone who la of military eget
How about helping him us and
yourself: By explaining' to ' them''
that by enlisting in thi N G ink- 4
ing six months of active duty at-":
tending weekly drills and summer '
camp they are exempt from draft
This helps them in many ways
Not only are they exempt from -'-
the draft but they are at home or 7
at school True the N G doesn't
make a person rich but revery dol
lar helpe eesiecially for a person
et school
Isn't it far better for s person
to spend six months on acti're
duty and return to school than to
spend two years on active duty
and lose interest in school?
' At the present time this nnit is
°Meer' short and 58 enlisted 2
men short Help us cut this short 1
age down te 0 and short -
