The Dustin Redskins let vic-
tory slip through their hands in
the last three seconds Friday
night in the district 36 tourn-
ament finals in Weleetka on a
score of 41 to 39 to the Mason
boys The Redskins led all the
way until the final two minutes
after missing over a dozen lay-
ups Mason sunk the clincher
with 3 seconds remaining
The Redskins led all through
the game with a 22 to 14 lead
at halftime Joe Denham was
high point man with 12 Gene
Selvidge trailed with 10 Henry
Masengale also scored in the
double figures
The loss was the last game
of the season for the Redskins
who end up with a record of
20 wins against 7 defeats

Beginning Monday
The seventh annual invitation-
al grade tournament will be held
in the Dustin gymnasium begin-
ning Monday March 2 It is
sponsored by the Dustin seniors
Both day and night games will
be played
Proceeds will be divided be-
tween the athletic fund and the
senior class to be used for the
senior trip There will be food
and snack bar in the home ec-
onomics room
30 teams have accepted invi-
tations and others are expected
There will be six different class-
es The finals will be played
Saturday night March 7 when
12 trophies will be awarded
