colorful bits of his genius with char-
acteristic recklessness to delineate his

It appearing that a petition of the
legal voters of the town of Carmen
presented at a called meeting on this
date asking for the redistricting of
the town into three wards according
to Jthe limits prescribed in the said
petitions is signed by a number equal
to more than a majority of the votes
cast in the last general election it is
therefore oidered ‘by the board of
trustees of the town of Carmen that
a special meeting of the-board ff trus-
tees be called for Friday evening
March 4 to effect such change in the
wards as the petition seeks providing
it be not shown by a remonstrance
that the proposition is contrary to the
wishes of a majority of the voters
Notipe of the intention of the board of
trustees to fulfill the request of the
petitioners by making such redistrict-
ing of the town shall be given by the
publication of this resolution for three
weeks in the Headlight

Some time'' ago Will Anthonys on
returning home from church found
their house so filled with smoke that-
it was at first impossible for themto
enter it They found on instigation
that the covers on a couch had in some
manner becom ignited It is quite a
mystery as there was no stove in the
room and the family had been absent
all afternoon Several comforts and
quilts were destroyed It seems that
the house being tightly closed was the
cnly thing that saved the home

left Tuesday for Lawton where she
will visit at the hofne of her son Fred

Sealed bids will be received at the
office of the -Town Clerk for the con-
struction of cement crossings as per
specifications in Clerk’s office said
crossings located as follows: 8th and
Chestnut 8th and Oak 8th and Main
- 4th and Linden -

rent of the Park pasture for one year
beginning March 1st 1921 and end-
