The publishers of the beautiful
eong “I Walt Alone for You" by
the Into W Wesley Wells have
sent ne a copy of hie laat song "My
Mercedes’ which has just been
published and which he composed
a few weeks before his death It
ia simply beautiful easy to play
melodious and a perfect adaptation

price of 88 cents per copy
' There is a great need of more
four and five room cottages in Mul-
drow Hardly a day passes but
wbat there are one or more enquir-
ies lor vacant houses There also
seems to be an equal scarcity of
carpenters We understand that
there would be several more houses
in course of construction if there
were more carpenters here to do the
work
The first bale of cotton marketed
in Muldrow was brought in Thurs-
day of last week by A L Brown
who is farming the Bob Lee plaoe
south of town The bale weighed
408 pounds and was of good qulaity
Wolf Mayer A Co bought it at
1008 per hundred Walton A
Shackleford ginned it without chaig
and some of the business men
contributed to a premium fund
enough to rase the amount recived
for the bale to 11479 per hundred
Now that school is about to
open we wish to impress parents
with tho importance of starting
their children at the very begin-
ning and keeping them in eohool
every day if possible The child
who enters a graded school two or
three weeks or a month after the
opening is greatly handicapped
He is not prepared to joiu his class-
es and do the work required of
them and about tho only thing the
teacher can do in a case of this
kind is to start the child in tho next
lower grade Parents remember
this and have your children on
hand at the opening day
