The Oklahoma Highway Pa-
trol visited Enid State School
December 23 as the per-
sonal representative of Santa
Claus The entire patrol and
staff had held their annual
gift exchange at Oklahoma
City on Saturday and in lieu
of the usual personal gifts
every member had provided a
new toy for a child The large
truck load came to us
The Patrol for several years
has followed this plan and has
selected a state institution as the
recipient of the toys Capt Mc-
Intosh of the Enid unit was in
charge of the delivery that was
made on Sunday afternoon while
the pupils were attending the
annual Christmas chapel service

News Notes
by
R Cecil Davis
"A PLACE IN THE SUN" Ls the story of
todaya drama of three young people
uncontrollably in love—who risked
everything to get that love! It is the story
that mirrors all lovers—the story
that belongs to everyone
It is rare that any motion picture et
has captured so magnificently
ahe fire and fever of America's
youth Even rarer has any
screen drama spoken so
freely and frankly of the
compelling needs and desires
of young people driven by t
instincts they can neither ee''
resist nor understand
'
Here is the story of a young
iman who was too ambitious
even in love and of the two
girls who cared for him too much! )
These three emotiompacked roles are
portrayed by the most exciting young
stars it has been possible to combine
in one film in many years

The Washington Avenue

In charge of the Christmas
chapel service and following a
tradition they presented a gift
to each Cottage at the School
A large framed picture of "The
Good Shepherd" was the gift
for each and these will be
hung in appropriate settings on
each of the cottages
The Enid American Business
club made certain that Santa
Claus did not miss his annual
