of the series of Jackson day tianers

With the democratic national com-
mittee meeting in Washington at
that time to select a convention city
a representative attendance is in
prospect and a full discussion of
Party affairs is expected In years
past the quadrennial dinner took
on considerable significance in view
of the fact that it came shortly be-
fore the national convention
All elements Of the party will be
represented and have a part in the
speech making Clem Shaver chair-
man of the national committee said
in announceing the dinner
The idea of reviving the event he
declared had found favor with demo-
crats everywhere He would not
discuss possibility of what names
would go to make up the speaker's
list
The last Jackson day dinner was
held in 1920
