MEETING AIIAIN
TO-MORROW PM
Trustees Are Now Enthusiastic and
Developments are Ascertained
The final meeting previous to
the preparing of the real creamery
and hence the finish of the prelim-
inaries will be held at the Odd
Fellows Hall Saturday for the pur-
pose of enlightening those who are
not conversant with the plans and
operations which will used in run-
ning this creamery Mr Reitn
has said all he knows about the
creamery business in his native
state where creameries are thicker
than school house- here and where
the principal occupation is ‘dairy-
ing and we could say that Mr
Reim is well versed in his business
as he was a patron and hence went
throngh the whole business from
the milking of the cow to counting
the money after tiie product was
sold On tshi date Alex Harrison
a representative of some of the
farm journals of the Fast will give
a lecture on dairying and the met-
hod of planning constructing and
running a creamery lie has had
several years of experience in this
line and consequently knows what
he is speaking of on this subject
All we know is that a large crowd
is insured ladies especially invited
that two hundred more cows will
be gotten before it is closed that
the city wants a creamery that an
application for a charter of $10000
capital will be sent in and that
the town of Kremlin will receive
other project that will be of
alue and every farmer in this
vicincy will lx? rich
JUST 4- HINT
DO TAKE IT
The New Kra family is readily
gaining friends in the subscription
line and on the other hand we
seem to be acquiring enemies — the
only reason we reach this conclu-
sion is that -some of our dead ones
are “lopping off and no telling
but what they were always inclin-
ed to claim such feelings We
blame them not for actsng as their
conscience dictated We appreci-
ate those who have the intelli-
gence and manhood to patronize
the home paper the merchants
and every home industry Do you
farmers want the merchants to go
to neighboring cities and offer in-
ducements to get the foreign trade
while to you they would use with
common celerity and if anything
would brow beat you? Could you
stand it or would you change u’r
trading post? And vice versa
what would you merchants do if
your customers should take their
products to other cities? Any sane
person knows this is improbable
but it is not impossible Each read
er can intelligently form a con-
servative answer The reason of
success in the business world is
because of the molding power of
socialibility while this alone does
not compose the whole makeup but
it is one of the main levers — hence
the need of journalism The mer-
chants and as well the farmer or
In fact the entire Unman family
need the paper— the paper that
gives the store news and the ev-
ents which will broaden the com-
plexity of our mind in matters of
equal worth to all concerned The
New Kra although oily a rural
sheet is broadening and if we can
convince the merchants to adver-
tise more— though they are doing
well now we will increase our
-finance and hence we can better
faciliate the shop If you don’t Srin Go Braiigh
like the New Era tell us If you
you do tell others
Ivnid is having a great revival
Enid can have most anything and
live through it too
The game season opened last
Monday and the slaughter of birds
last week probably parallels that
of any other season
“I have not began to fight”
Coming from the lips of Thomas
Lawson insures us that in a short
time someting of great signifance
will happen

Another letter from our corres-
pondent at Douglas Arizona tends
to throw more light oil the “wooly
west situation:
“People differ in languages me-
thods environments and general
tendencies to certain degrees but
nowhere in the West can the div-
ersion be more vividly seen than
here in remote Arizona The pop-
ulation here is widely circulating
and as homesteaders are not any
too thick on account of the min-
ing and other trades being of more
value monetarily there is not
much digression in the agricultur-
al pursuit However' this is not
wholly true as different articles of
necessity and difficult of importa-
tion are grown in profusion
and wherever a clearing can be
made extensive enough in area to
be of benefit and convenience
Our water is probably better than
that in Oklahoma because of our
proximity to the mountains which
supply an inexhaustable amount
which is also largely used for irri-
gating purposes — And we venture
to say had Ponce De Leon visited
this realm in his search of the pro-
phetic pool for the restitution of
youth he might have been crown-
ed wTi th success (with stress on the
might have) and the poor old de-
crepit would have yet been in the
land of the living and probably in
the hands of the trusts with the
rest of us mortals
Of course we have only been here
for a short time and as our youth
ful mind has never looked over
such a changeable area lands of be-
fore we may be indulging in
day dream The wierd pranks of
nature and its never ending would
wield great influence in turning
most anyone bump of etherialism
While passing through New Mex
on our semi-continental trip we
witnessed massive rocks which
would compete favorably with
two-story brick
Several arid tracts were travers-
ed and while passing over them
we imagined ourselves in a vas
desert with no oasis in sight anc
our mind changed to its lngti-
briousness— but alas there was
a haven in sight and once more a
panorama of nature’s diversified
wonders was before our eyes which
swept our past fears away because
we acknowledged ourselves in a
land with seemingly no boundaries
which stimulated our desires to
press on to our destination and in
reality it is more wonderful than
the stretch we have just passed ov-
er The sun has just set and Na-
ture’s' god has made his absence
and now the timid folk have reced-
ed fearing the grewsome horrors
which will soon be commited ' be-
fore the sun’s rays will have made
their appearance j
Hugh Dorian one of the well
fcnown Garfield county fanners
eft for Killybegs County Donegal
Ireland last Tuesday where he will
visit six or seven months among
relatives While he is away Mr
Dorian will purchase a fullblood
Irish Bull-dog and as Hough is a
professional with fighting kennels
we expect to get an Associated
press report while he is there to
the effect than one of greatest pits
in Ireland was witness to one of
lie greatest dog fights iu history
with Mr Dorian’s dog as the win-
ning competitor Mr Dorian was
oni in county Donegal and loves
lis native heath with a true loyal
Irish patriotism He loves Ireland
as the place of his birth the histor-
ic spot of immemorial struggles for
iberty but for a home lie says
there is no place like Oklahoma
and nowhere on the earth is there
setter farm lands than his Garfield
county farm
Press meeting
are often the cause of unpleasant feelings not that it lias done

you any wrong or 1ms wantonly harmed you but it’s piteous
little wail did not harmonize and their was a misfit that you
could not give cause for so it is oftentimes with the ready-
made apparel you buy Our line needs no introduction and if
you get a misfit here exchange it and get a fit or don’t take it
The “Empire of the Woods” ed-
itorial association the first one in
Oklahoma met at Goltry last week
and although the rain made made
it rather inconvenient fpr getting
around great things were done
mainly tfiat old sorties were re?
made and little troubles were put
to naught and many able discus?
sions were presented The Great
Western done some cheap advertis-
ing which will probably bear fruit
and tl’ere was others Goltry was
very hospitable and every one pre-
sent at the meeting felt satisfied
with the results Their next trip
will be to Wichita over the Orient
Garfield County should have aq
editorial association Lets get it
at once Lets g£t acquainted and
thereby make our papers of more
value to our patrons One editor
has plausible and technical ideas
which would lie useful to all So
lets get together and try to advance

Newspapers arc exppsiiig all this
rottenness in public places The
newspapers got after the trusts
The newspapers are making the
big and little grafters boodlers and
looters hunt their holes No ques-
tion about it These public rob-
bers are not afraid of legislatures
They buy legislatures like you by
radishes — by the lunch They are
not afraid of congress because the
senate is in cahoots with them be-
cause many of these looters are in
the senate They are not afraid of
the technical courts They bull-
doze the courts But they are a-
fraid of the newspapers They
can’t buy them

What defect is there in man that
causes him to lay down his life
succeeding the advent of a calam-
ily brought on by his own un-
scrupuiousness? Scientists take
notice
Regardless of the personal accus-
