ARE CDIEIED
The 24 new steel bridges con-
tracted for by the board of
county commissioners have ail
been completed These bridges
have been distributed through-
out the county and placed at
points where they would accom-
odate the greatest number of
people These bridges cost the
county $34000 for which bonds
were voted last August a year
ago The county now has 27
steel bridges crossing the va
rious streams of the county and
bis is 27 more than they bad 3
yearago When the roads are
improved to these new bridges
the people will no longer be in-
convienced by high waters or
steep slick creek banks to pull
with loads
The farmer is placed nearer
and more convienent to markets
by reason of these improve-
ments and as time passes they
will wonder how they got along
without them as long as they
did
As before stated 3 years ago
Coal county bad noteel bridges
and but very few wooden ones
but through the perseverance of
the board of county commission-
ers and other county officials
they now have a very complete
system of bridges and a good
jail
