dish at our house.
16-ounce can wholkernel golden
corn
12 cup quick-cookinhominy grits
1 teaspoon salt
4 ounces sharp ceddar cheese,
shredded medium-fin
4-ounce can whole,roasted, peeled
green chilies (drainecind diced)
Drain corn, savingliquid; reserve
corn. To corn liquid ad enough water
to make 2 cups; bringo a boil; stir in
hominy and salt; shmer, covered,
until thickened and liuid is absorbed
— about five minutespff heat, stir in
reserved corn, abouthalf the cheese
