The jury reached an "impasse" in
its consideration of charges against the
six remaining defendants, jury fore-
man James C. Eslinger told US Dis-
trict Court Judge Luther Bohanon
Friday afternoon
Judge Bohanon sent the jurors back
to the jury room to prepare verdict re-
ports on nine of the defendants and in-
structed them to return Monday
Those convicted Friday and the
charges against each were
Donald Babb. 32, McLoud, con-
spiracy to distribute heroin and dis-
tribution of heroin; Mrs Sharon Rose
Babb, 24, his wife, conspiracy to dis-
tribute and distribution of heroin;
Deborah Gail Hyams, 22, Oklahoma
City, conspiracy to distribute heroin,
Ray Richman, 20 Midwest City, con-
spiracy to distribute heroin
Also, Ted Richardson, 22, Oklahoma
City, conspiracy to distribute and dis-
tribution of heroin; Tony Richardson,
26. Oklahoma City, conspiracy to dis-
tribute and distribution of heroin, and
Mrs Alice Powell Oklahoma City, con-
spiracy to distribute and distribution
of heroin.
Acquitted were Laura Talkington,
Oklahoma City, and Robert Leroy
Quirk, 25, McLoud
Judge Bohanon revoked bond for
Mrs. Powell and ordered her placed in
jail after Asst. U.S Atty Duane Miller
told the court that Mrs. Powell might
"very well join her husband as a fugi-
tive."
Mrs Powell's husband. Emit Powell,
is named in the conspiracy indictment,
but has not been apprehended

Annual registration fees are based on
the weight and type of aircraft, begin-
ning a' $20 for single engine piston air-
craft of less than 1,750 pounds and
ranging upward to $15,000 for jumbo
turbo jets weighing 100.001 pounds or
more
These fees are reduced 10 per cent

Taxed at a flat rate of $10 per year

court jury here will resume deliber-
ations Monday on charges against six
remaining defendants in a massive be
roin smuggling conspiracy case, in-
cluding the alleged leader of the oper-
ation
On Friday, seven persons were con-
victed in connection with the U S dis-
trict court case Two other defendants
