Lawton High is scheduled
for re-evaluation by North
Central next year. MacArthur
High School was accredited by
North Central last February .
Preparations for North Cen-
tral's visit to Eisenhower be-
gan several months ago. Ei-
senhower faculty members
were organized into 24 com-
, mittees to write self-evalua-
' tions of the school’s programs.
The committees met regu-
larly for study, dialogue, and
writing in such areas as cur-
riculum, student activities,
J media services, guidance, and
administration. Individual de-
partments also were studied.
The major change Eisen-
hower has made in prepara-
tion for North Central is the
addition of eourse offerings in
English, art, and history, Jer-
ry Moon. Eisenhower assis-
tant principal, said.
Eisenhower faculty members
will meet the visiting commit-
tee during a dinner at 5:30
p.m. Sunday in the school
cafeteria.
Some 200 persons, including
staff members from the State
Department of Education, are
expected to attend the dinner.
Featured at the dinner will
be a multi-media presentation
describing the community El-
senhower serves and the
school's philosophy and objec-
1 lives.
Members of the North Cen-
tral committee include college
professors and superinten-
dents, principals, counselors,
and teachers from high schools
throughout the state.
Visiting committee members
are from the University of Ok-
lahoma, Oklahoma City, Put-
nam City, Velma-Alma, Dun-
can, Carnegie, Pauls Valley,
Ada, Frederick, and Ana-
