Humphrey's Son
Predicts Victory
CHICAGO (AP) - Vice Presi-
dent Hubert H. Humphrey’s old-
est son thinks his dad, fresh
from winning the Democratic
presidential nomination, will
have no trouble getting himself
known by the voters.
“There are two solid months
left for people to gaze into that
TV tube,” said Hubert III, 26-
year-old law student.
“He’s in there driving yet
he’ll bounce and laugh,” said
young Hubert. “He doesn’t have
long hair or the Kennedy image.
He’s not 35, or 45, but he’s not 60
either.” (Humphrey is 57).

Space Journey
Set For Monkey
LOS ANGELES (AP) -
Scientists have given a go-ahead
to a monkey’s space flight next
March—now that a 15-pound
Macaque has successfully un-
dergone four weeks in a 57-
inch-wide capsule.
The tiny primate in a flight
suit emerged “in excellent
health” from the biosatellite
spacecraft Wednesday, a
spokesman said. The same cap-
sule is scheduled to be launched
March 27 from Cape Kennedy,
Fla.
Although the monkey lost
slight weight, “his brain func-
tioned well throughout the test,”
said the spokesman at the Uni-
versity of California at Los An-
geles.
For 30 days, the primate-car-
lying biosatellite is scheduled to
stay in orbit testing effects of
confinement and weightlessness
on future human astronauts
manning space laboratories.
