With proper care the
home gardener can have
ripe tomatoes for several
weeks after the plants
have been killed by frost.
Just prior to the first
killing frost, pick all the
green tomatoes that have
begun to lighten in color.
Wrap these individually
in paper towels, napkins,
tissue or newspaper,
store in a dark place at
about 65oF. Do not store
more than two layers
deep. Check the fruit
weekly and remove those
that have ripened.

son, Ryan Christopher.
He arrived at 9:59 p.m.
Monday, Oct. 19, at Val-
ley View Hospital. Ada,
and weighed 6 pounds
10% ounces.
He has one sister. Sa-
lina Kay, nearly five, and
one brother, Leighton
Don, nearly two.
The maternal grand-
parents are Mr. and Mrs.
Leroy Simmons. Wynne-
wood.
The paternal grand-
parents are Mr. and Mrs.
L.D. McCarty, Wynne-

weather. Mrs. Haskell
