Valentine Party Feb. 14 at the Silver
Turtle in Sulphur. Their husbands

After games were played and gifts
exchanged, members honored Wan-
da Stevenson as their 1986 Valentine
Queen. Ava Nell Riddle presented
the queen with red roses, official pin
and tiara.

Guests in the home of Nolen and
Vivian Litchfield last week for sever-
al days were their daughter, Kay
Garr, and granddaughter. Kelly, and
a friend. Carrie, from Oklahoma

Ray Russell was released from
Norman Regional Hospital last Sun-
day. He is at home resting comfort-
ably.
James Jennings, a former resident
of Wynnewood, was admitted to
Baptist Hospital last Friday suffering
with a heart attack. He is reported
resting comfortably.

Pledge ritual was held for the new

selected as Princesses.

and played games.

returned home last Saturday evening
from two weeks stay in south Texas.

Mrs. Rex Holmes and her daugh-
ter. Judy, traveled to Oklahoma City
last Saturday on business. They also
visited James Jennings in Baptist
Hospital.
Sharon Harrison, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Laron Quaid, sang in a
starring role in the world premier of
the opera, “Chinchilla," a risque,
roaring ’20s farce in January. It was
Mrs. Harrison’s 33rd opera. Tri-Cit-
ies Opera Company presented it.

"Chinchilla" marks the second
original opera by composer Fink to
be premiered by the Tri-Cities
Opera. In 1962 the company debuted
his opera of religious zealotry and
lust, “Jeremiah," which was repeat-
ed successfully in a production
during the 1983 season.
The University of Rochester pre-
sented Sharon in recital in Rochester
Nov. 23 and Tri-Cities in Bingham-
ton, N.Y. Feb. 11.
