ed over by Ima Green. Incoming
new officers were Mary Huggans,
president; Jo Musgrove, vice presi-
dent; Anita Cofer, treasurer; Ima
Green, recording secretary; Etta
Marie Tompkins, corresponding sec-
retary, and Mildred Ensey, civil
defense.

Sylvia Nowlin returned home last
week after spending several days in
Eagle Pass, Texas, visiting her son
and daughter-in-law, Jerrill and
Juanita Nowlin. She also visited in
Temple, Texas, with her grand-
daughter and family, Brenda and
Jack Lanig, and sons, Jeremy,
Jordan and Jared. While in Eagle
Pass other grandchildren who came
to visit were Greg and Julie Nowlin
and Travis of Brackettville, Brian
and Tina Jackson and Tye of San
Antonio and Valerie Hinyosa and
Aaron of Corpus Christi.

water, not soap and water, to
remove surface pesticide residues
and other impurities.
Consumers recently have been
advised by a private organization to
use soap in washing fruits and
vegetables, says Barbara Brown,
extension food specialist.
