dated for August 28
The ACT test can be taken

annual Awards Assembly in
Mitchell Auditorium. The "E"
Award is the highest attainable at

1400 students.
"We have had many visitors to
our campus and expect to get many

Friday at Weissinger Field at 8 pm.
The college band and the choir will
present music throughout
the programand division awards will
be presented
The college band, under the
direction of Haskell Raynor, will
begin Commencement Exercises
with "Theme From the
Apartment" and the processional.
"Pomp and Circumstance "
Invocation will be given by the
Reverend John Hessel from the
Calvary Baptist Church, Wilburton
"The Long Day Closes" will be
sung by 11 sophomores,

Dr. Hobart Means, Dean of
Instruction, will direct the
presentation of the division awards
which will be presented to the
graduates by each division
chairman. Forrest Hamilton will
present the Agriculture award,
Minnie Walker, Business, James
Helmert, Engineering and Science.

Charlotte Stevens will sing "This
Day Is Mine." The graduating class
will be presented by Dr Means
while conferring of degrees is to be
done by President James Miller.
Eastern's Alma Mater will be led
by Danny Hair, followed by the
recessional, "Pomp and
Circumstance," played by the
college band.

Baccalaureate Service was May
10 at Weissinger Field The college
band played the processional and
recessional, "The Navy Hymn,"
while the choir presented such

Graduating sophomores were
guests of the college May 4 for the
annual Graduation Dinner in the
Student Union ballroom. Miss
Dingier was elected Sophomore of
the year by the Student body and
honored at the dinner.
The two hundred and sixty two
sophomores represent eighty six
Oklahoma towns, twenty-nine
counties, five states and one other
country.
