Applicants for president, vice
president, secretary and treasurer
must each submit a petition of 25
student's signatures to the Dean of
Students office by 5 p.m. April 18.
Cheerleaders running for the office
of head cheerleader need only to
turn in their names to the Dean's
office.
Besides the petition, each
applicant must have completed 12
credit hours during the fall semester
with at least a 2.0 grade average
New officers will begin their
duties after the installation. May 7.

Mrs. Brown, who has been at
Eastern since 1966, teaches
psychology, mental hygiene and
social problems this semester.
Describing her goals as a teacher,
Mrs. Brown said, "As well as
imparting information, it is
important that teachers respect
students and their opinions. A
teacher should encourage students
to form their own opinions and
express them,"
Mrs. Brown advises aspiring
teachers "to have developed a

masters degree at Oklahoma
University in guidance and
counseling in 1965. She is presently
enrolled in an Oklahoma University
