Gnthrie Nov £2 — The ' game
warden of Blaine county seized a
shipment of quail at Canton yes-
tardy and Caused arrest of Groves
& Everhart an Eagle City firm on
charges of violating the game law
and of Timothy St John and
Deputy sheriff Her as accomplices
This is the first shipment of quail
seized this season The barrels
were filled with dressed chicken
on top but underneath were hun-
dreds of dressed quail They
were billed to Kansas City
Before leaving for Washington
it waa learned on reliable nutbor-
ity that Mr Fossett had asked
the indorsement of Judge John H
Burford who himself is a candi-
date for re appointment as cheif
justice and that Burford had re-
fused Burford told Fossett “I
can indorse your administration
It has been excelent and could not
be better I can indorse you but
do not want to do it now”
It devoloped later that Bur-
fords hostility resulted entirely
because of the friendship that
existed between Fossett and Hor-
ace Speed United States district
rttorney' This matter was dis-
cussed between the two aud Bur-
ford was forced to admit that so
far as Fossett was personally con-
concerned there was no reason
whatever for refnsing his indorse
ment except one of politics —

This is a fair sample of what
politics are under ring rule

Grip Quicky Knocked Out
Some years ago during the se-

running with alternate spells of

Chamberlains Cough Remedy aid-
ing the same with a dose of Cham

completely knocked ont the grip
It is a good plan to take one of the
Tablets when you have a cold
