an encendiary is without doubt
for there had been no fire in hall
for a number of months if ever
The question is who is the culp-
rit Theae seems to be no possi-
ble way of locating him as the
fires are not set against any par-
ticular person but are permiscu-
ous Therefore it must be the
work of an insane person or a
depraved mind that has it in for
the community in general Very
likely when if ever the person
is found he will be one least ex-
pected and one from among their
respected citizens That he is in
the country is without a doubt
for no one comuniiy the size of
the flats has enouge reprobates
in it to individualize the fires
that have occuired in that vicin
ity in the past two years r
It is time now’ tor the authorit-
ies of that county to appoint a
detective for that special vacinity
and make an attempt to solve the
problem in a systematic manner

already overtaxed ’ in collecting
