A routine traffic stop on Basin Road resulted
in a pursuit, a standoff and an arrest of a suspect
wanted in a homicide case in Tulsa.
Jeremy Newbolt. 27. was taken into custody on
Saturday. Oct. 3 after fleeing from Mannford
police and busting into a Mannford residence
for a two and a half hour standoff.
Mannford police began questioning Newbolt
after a Mannford officer saw weapons in the
vehicle, said Mannford Detective Carl Cobb.
Newbolt took off and a pursuit began resulting
in Newbolt crashing the vehicle on Evans Road.

Kristin Rogers has been
named as the October Student
of the Month at Mannford High
School. Kristin is the daughter
of Susan and Larry Rogers, was
born on November 27. 1980. In
addition to her many athletic
activities, Kristin has also been
involved in a myriad of other
school activities; it might be
easier to list the awards that
she has not won since her wins
are rather extensive.
Kristin's honors, awards and
activities include: National
Honor Society-2 years, treasur-
er-1998-99. Basketball 3 years;
