AlakcTIic Farm Attractive
It is all very well to talk about
the nobility of agriculture and
the joys and freedom of farm
life but the thing that drives the
boys and girls away from the
farm i3 the very lack of the nobil-
ity and of joys on the part of the
average farmer No boy or girl
is going to admit that farm life
is full of pleasures and attraction
so long as the farm homo is simp-
ly a roof to cover their heads
It is too often the case that the
entire family on a farm spend
the indoor portion of their lives
in the kitchen heated only by
the cook stove and lighted by
some small lamp Too often
there is little br no reading mat-
ter These things may be ex-
cusable in case of a young mar-
ried couple who have their way
to make from the start but any
farmer who has lived to rear a
family of children until they are
half grown is a failure if he does
not provide better home attract-
ion It is due your children

Sunday school classmates met
Tuesday night to bid Miss Rozza
Michael farewell and for a few
hours of social chat ' before she
departed forSwanton Nebraska
An enjoyable evening was
spent and as they bid Miss Rozza
goodbye all expressed themselves
as being sorry to see her go but
wished her well in her new
home 4
Visit TheSick
Be sure to visit the sick but
above all things do not crowd in
on Sunday The sick are often
neglected during the week only
to bo visited to death on Sunday
Unless when you visit the sick
you carry with you joy hope and
mirth you had better stay away
An unfavorable opinion should
never find expression in the sick
room Life hangs on a brittle
thread and often that frail supr
port is hope Never utter such
an expression as “How bad you
look” or “I would have another
doctor” ere Make this your
rule never to enter a sick room
without carrying with you a ray
of sunshine A kind word and a
pleasant smile should be ready
for everyone Proverbs 16:24
says “Pleasant words are as a
honeycomb sweet to the soul and
health to the bones”

A sixteen year old school girl
who goes out on the street at
night with a slit skirt is one who
is apt to need watching especi-
ally if her mother is not by her
side Such girls used to be sent
to bed at eight o’clock and what-
ever we may think of the old
style of conduct in this respect
it is the best still ! v"
