Our business men should get
busy in regard to securing rural
free delivery routes out of Ravia
The time to act is now—before
some other town gets into our

should be consulted with at once

The young people of Ravia
have organized a singing class
with Prof Minor Norton of
Norton Oklahoma as leader
They will meet every Sunday
evening at 230 at the Methodist
church for practice All lovers
of good music and singing have

two weeks left for his home at

Eavis is an eiccellent gentleman
a splendid trinter and made
many friends during his short
stay in our town He under-

Train No 509 due here a few
minutes before the noon hour
was about nine hours behind
Wednesday caused by a wreck
up the road One -passenger
bound for Randolph exchanged
his ticket with agent Ragan for
a tie pass while another gentleman-
who was going farther
down the road very meekly ask-
ek Agent Ragan if he thought
his ticket would be in date for
the train when it did arrive -
Those interested in beautifying
the silent city of the dead are
requested to meet at the Ravia
cemetery next Wednesday even-
ing at one o'clock Every one is
requested to carry some kind of
a tree or shrub to be transplant-
ed in the cemetery This no-
tice is made by order of the la-
dies of the Cemetery Associa-
tion and that should be suffi-
cient reason why you should be
there and prepared to do your
part -

pany's works last Sunday even:

Tishomingo country have organ-
ized a truck growers' anocia-
tion elected officers and trans-
acted other business :rhey call
it the Truck Growers' Associa-
tion of Johnston County There
is no finer soil in Oklahoma than
that around Ravia for successful
trucking and fruit growing and
our farmers would do well to or-
ganize and thoroughly test truck
growing in this section The
Herald is with you Organize

salesman at Merrill-Houston
Lumber Company met with
quite apainful accident last Sat-
urday He was getting down
from a stack of lumber three or
or four feet high when his s foot
slipped causing him to fall
striking his cheek bone with
such force upon a 4x6 sleeper as
to fracture the bone Dr Baum
was called and dressed the
wound Mr Barnes is up and
about his work but says he has
to live on grutls as he cannot
work his jaws sufficiently to
masticate solid food
Monday night a good per cent
of Ravia's population serenaded
Mr and Mrs Ralph who were
married at Ardnore last week
A good portion of the tinware on
sale in our toyn was purchased
that evening and night with
which to make a-noise and was
donated to the bride and groom
after the serenade Mr and
Mrs Clark were equal to the oc-
casion in fact were expecting
the serenaders and had a good
supply of fruit on hand with
I which to treat them After
hearty congratulations to the
bride and groom all returned to
their homes feeling better for
having spent a pleasant evening
