REGULATIONS CAUSE TROUBLE
Interior Department Has Difficulty
With Kiowa Land Opening
Rules
WASHINGTON: The Interior de
partment’s trouble with the Kiowa
regulations are not ended It waited
an almost Indeterminable time to get
tbe regulations agreed upon Weeks
and months passed till there was dan
ger that the regulations would not be
ready soon enough to permit the sale
of the land within the period specified
by law
At last the regulations were type-
written and approved They wer
given out for publication by such news-
papers as wanted them the promise
being then made that tba regulations
In pamphlet form would be ready In
a few days
But It has been going on two weeks
since the regulations appeared and
the pamphlets are not ready for dis-
tribution The public printer is busy
with annual report and the Interior
department finds great difficulty get
ting any extra work done It will
probably be some time before the pam-
phlets can be mailed to a large num-
ber of people who have applied for
them The requests for the pamphlet
are coming in by every mall although
these are not as numerous as they
were two or three weeks ago
